PEPCID® is not indicated for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19.

PEPCID® is not being recalled as the FDA has requested recall of only ranitidine products. Original Strength PEPCID AC®, Maximum Strength PEPCID AC® and ZANTAC® are approved for the same use. However, PEPCID® contains famotidine, unlike ZANTAC® and other OTC products that contain ranitidine.
